A historic Aberdeenshire hotel is coming to the rescue of the beleaguered office Christmas party this year. With the much-loved annual tradition of the staff night out looking increasingly unlikely as a result of the current restrictions, Maryculter House is bringing the party to the office with the delivery of a selection of delicious seasonal treats

The hotel’s team will deliver individually-boxed Christmas afternoon tea packages to offices and other business venues. These can even be supplied to a designated driver for home-delivery for those teams having a Zoom party.

Each afternoon tea comprises a selection of savoury and sweet nibbles: honey mustard pig-in-a-blanket, Portsoy smoked salmon, gingerbread Christmas tree and a dark chocolate bauble to name but a few. Of course, no afternoon tea would be complete without scones, cream and jam too! Favourite festive drinks can also be pre-ordered for delivery

Maryculter House’s Managing Director, Peter Walker, said: “2020 has obviously been a very tough year for so many people, and we’re all more than ready for some light-hearted fun over the festive period. When we realised that many businesses wouldn’t be able to organise Christmas parties for their staff this year, we decided to launch our deliverable Christmas afternoon tea packages so that no one misses out on some much-needed festive cheer.”
